Fixed Mortgage Rates Remain Near Yearly Lows
Those in the market for a home (or a new mortgage) take note that fixed mortgage rates remained mostly unchanged this week, still hovering near their yearly low.
According to Freddie Mac, as reported on Thursday, the average rate on the 30-year loan rose slightly to 4.51 percent (It hit its lowest level of the year of 4.49 percent, three weeks ago.)
The average rate on the 15-year fixed mortgage stayed at 3.69 percent. (It reached its low point of the year two weeks ago, at 3.67 percent.)
