30-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage Rises to 4.60 Percent

As reported by Freddie Mac on Thursday fixed mortgage rates rose this week by the most in the past four months.

The average rate on the 30-year loan increased to 4.60 percent (up from 4.51 percent a last week). It hit its lowest level of the year of 4.49 percent three weeks ago.

The average rate on the 15-year fixed mortgage rose to 3.75 percent.

Even with this increase mortgage rates are still near record lows, making this a great time to buy or refinance. Check out our calculators and see how that impacts your mortgage payments.
